The village Nature Area is filling out now with so much warm weather and sunshine. I can see the changes every time I visit. The trees are all in leaf. The small copper beeches are at varying stages of opening and the foliage of each looks quite different from the others. The borders of the un-mowed places are waist-high with an abundance of flowering cow parsley. Other plants like the ox-eye daisies and knapweed are less well developed after an autumnal cut back. The newly sown wild-flower area has yet to present anything recognisable. Maybe we will be surprised in a few weeks time with what decides to pop up this year. Here are a few pictures from my last visit.
