Sea Campion (Silene uniflora) is a common British seashore flower. I photographed these yesterday where they were growing on the pea-sized pebbles of Chesil Beach between Abbotsbury and West Bexington in Dorset, England.

This gloriously flower be-decked “Green Man” was celebrating the birth of William Shakespeare outside the Globe Theatre on the South Bank in London one sunny April day. All the flowers and foliage were real – he not only looked good but smelled great too.
