The copper beech trees are a continuing delight throughout the year. I love them. When the leaves first open, they are covered in fine hairs which can best be seen against the light as a delicate silky fringe. The leaves are coloured everything from red to green and look almost like autumn foliage instead of spring.
Fantastic. I love to see the intricacies of leaves when light is shining through them.
