Much of Barbara Hepworth’s sculptural work was inspired by the landscape and rocks in Cornwall. Her home and studio in St Ives have been conserved and are open to the public, along with a beautiful garden featuring some of her works, a selection of which are shown here.

There are some wonderfully sculptural rocks at Mewslade Bay, some of which are definitely reminiscent of Hepworth’s work.

We went round the garden last summer – a wonderful place to be. Thanks for the reminder. PS if you haven’t already, do go to the Tremenheere near Penzance one day…

I meant (of course) Tremenheere Gardens! (I believe The Tremenheere is a rather horrid pub in Penzance!)
