Much of Barbara Hepworth’s sculptural work was inspired by the landscape and rocks in Cornwall. Her home and studio in St Ives have been conserved and are open to the public, along with a beautiful garden featuring some of her works, a selection of which are shown here.
Rocks worn by the waves often remind me of sculptures.

There are some wonderfully sculptural rocks at Mewslade Bay, some of which are definitely reminiscent of Hepworth’s work.

Ah yes, I was thinking also of the ones at Limeslade.

We went round the garden last summer – a wonderful place to be. Thanks for the reminder. PS if you haven’t already, do go to the Tremenheere near Penzance one day…

Thank you, RH. I’ll remember to visit Tremenheere next time.

I meant (of course) Tremenheere Gardens! (I believe The Tremenheere is a rather horrid pub in Penzance!)

That’s OK. I assumed it was a garden.
