Thank you, Mary. The air is fairly clean where I live in a small village in the Dorset countryside. I cannot say which compass bearing around the trunk these lichens and mosses were growing but it was the wetter side. Lichen textures 1-4 were taken on the other side of the same tree trunk which was drier.
