Further along Rhossili beach on that very windy day, a stream was flowing through the dunes and down across the shore to the retreating sea. The fast-flowing shallow water was gradually washing away the newly deposited sand from around the colourful beach stones, leaving caps of wet textured sand deposited on their surfaces.
