Woodland Autumn TWD 6

Woodland Autumn TWD 6 – Continuing a walk in Dorset woodland on a sunny autumn day. Walking downhill from the pond, and turning west towards my starting point, the scene changes again. Open heath and pasture can be viewed at various points from the edge of the woods; several ponies bask in the warmth of the sun beneath an ancient oak. Further on, the mixed deciduous tree types transition to magnificent stands of evergreen pines, redwoods, and holly with berries.
