I loved the way the poppies looked at the stony edge of the field and intermingled with the barley. The wind has tattered most of them and the delicate red petals flap around like wet tissue paper but they still survive as wonderful splashes of colour amongst the green barley stalks.
Such beautiful poppies – I love the red agaisnt the green/bluish grass in particular. It wasn’t much of a day for walking today. Rain and a cold wind.

Thank you, Emma. I did get out for a walk today – no rain but cold and very windy. The flowering grasses are looking magnificent.

It will do you good to go outside. Saying that I haven’t been outside since the weather broke!

Going outside whatever the weather is a good experience. I am pleased that you are able to do more yourself now that you are healing – although I can understand the challenges it must pose for getting back to where you were before the accident.

I am improving slowly but it will be some time time before I am back to where I was, I think.

Yes, it will take time. It must be so frustrating for you from so many perspectives. It will be such a sweet feeling when you are fully mobile again and able to get out into the open for more inspiration for your artwork.
