Canal at Goytre WharfA rainy late autumn day at Goytre Wharf on the Monmouth and Brecon Canal. Dead leaves floating along on the surface of the water against a background of rainpitting ripples out in the open, but against a still background when viewed from shelter beneath the stone hump-backed bridge over the water.

  1. Hello, Angela. I visited Goytre Wharf on 22nd November this year. We spent a couple of nights in Abergavenny but it rained a great deal and low cloud veiled the mountains around us. I liked the area very much and I want to go back and explore when the weather is better. How far is it from where you live?
