Yesterday’s post showed the effects of weathering on the corrugated iron roofs of old boathouses, and today’s pictures illustrate the effects of time and the elements on the wooden walls of the same structures.
Thank you, Evelyn. I think the wood was originally coated with tar which has worn away with the years but left a residue. I think the weathered wood and its old coating are providing the blue/grey colours.
