Those nets look brand-new. I’m not used to seeing brightly colored fishing nets. Do fish see in color?
I think some of the nets might have been new. I photographed them last summer. I don’t suppose they look so colourful now after a long winter’s use. I’ll have to go and have a look. Sometimes I think that colourful objects like these are put out deliberately for the benefit of photographers and to set the scene for tourists – I wonder. I don’t know about fish and colour – I would think they were colour blind except some of them are so colourful themselves – there must be a point in that – or is it the patterns that are important?
