Gosker Rock Patterns & Textures 2 Detail of the texture, colour, and pattern on an intertidal rocky outcrop of Carboniferous Era sandstones and siltstones on a low tide sandy beach where it is weathered by the elements, encrusted by marine organisms, and colonised by terrestrial plants.
The textures on the far left side are particularly interesting. Love those lichens on the middle-right side.

The closer I got to these rocks, the more intriguing were some of the erosion patterns. I only wish I was able to understand exactly the ancient and recent processes of their formation. Enough for the moment that I find the resultant textures and patterns a marvel of nature.
