The Vile??! How can it be called that ? It is astonishing.

According to an account of the village of Rhossili by Robert Lucas, Vile is the old Gower pronunciation of Field from ancient medieval times when the land was divided up into long narrow strips divided by earthen banks called landshares.

As a subject it would perhaps need to be portrayed as hyper-real or used as the basis for an abstract design?
