The deep pinkish-purple petals of Bloody Crane’s-bill (Geranium sanguineum) flowers stand out among the grass on the lower landward slopes of the vegetated sand dunes of Llangennith Burrows on Rhossili Bay in Gower. In some places the ground is almost carpeted with them and they bring a bright splash of colour to the scene.
