I parked at Hillend in Llangennith on a cold February day, and took the familiar path through the dunes to the shore. It had been a long time since I last walked on the beach at Rhossili Bay in Gower, and I was surprised at how much everything had changed. The path now disappeared beneath a huge mound of wind-blown sand as it approached the shore. This is the first in a series following my steps on a short stroll, returning via Diles Lake and the marsh side of the dunes.
