Views from close to Shipstal Point of the salt marsh which fringes the RSPB Reserve woodland at Arne in Dorset. The darker patches are the rushes that grow in the water channels of the marsh which are hidden from view in summer by the taller, brighter green, sedges and grasses that grow slightly higher on the accreted mud.
Beautiful – I can almost hear the hiss of the breeze in the garsses/rushes.

Maybe next time I am there I can record a video clip with the noise of the rustling rushes.
