A rare day out now the pandemic restrictions are relaxing and I have had both my jabs. It involved just a gentle stroll on Studland South Beach in Dorset – and here are a few of the things that caught my eye. The first opportunity to hug my son for over a year.
The scenery looks beautiful as always but I think the best part is told in the last photo.

You are right. The best bit was the hugs.

Congratulations on your second vaccination, Jessica. The rotten weather is proving more of a hinderance to getting out and about these days.

The seaweed colors are amazing as are the textures and patterns of red/brown beach stones. And with a happy ending…it has been a long year+.

Thank you, Emma. You are right about the weather. It makes it cold and unpleasant to be out and the light is not optimal for photographs. But who knows – we could soon have a heatwave.

Thank you, Mic. There is always something interesting to see there. And it was a great feeling of freedom
