The textures, colours and patterns of rocks, particularly those exposed on the seashore, fascinate me. I often try to find out what they are, the name of the rock type, what kind of rock and composition, how they were formed, why they look the way they do now, what processes have affected them through time. But, above all, I like the way they look. Regardless of their history and physical characteristics, rocks frequently seem to stand alone in their own right as natural works of art. In this first of a series of images I let the rocks speak for themselves.

I have always liked rocks and collect small rocks everywhere I visit. You have displayed some gorgeous photos of rocks.
