Large patches of Red Campion are growing on slopes around the village cricket ground. Fresh pliable stems with small furry flower buds are fast appearing. These will develop into lovely pink flowers over the next week or so and should look wonderful.
Hard to imagine the appeal of the flowers could be any more than of the furry buds. They’re gorgeous, and you’ve isolated them from their backgrounds beautifully.

Thank you, Linda. Sometimes the magic works with the camera and sometimes not! The open flowers themselves are pretty – better when seen in quantities. My daily short trip out during this coronavirus lockdown have me looking more than ever at the details and day-to-day changes in the patch I patrol.
