Almost like a vast Hockneyesque California swimming pool. The water around the coral island bird sanctuary of Michaelmas Cay, off the Queensland coast, was warm, clear, pale turquoise, shallow, undulating, with patterns of reflected sunlight. Happy memories for a winter’s day.
