Thank you for bringing these beautiful creatures to my eyes. I like the close-ups best, and I especially like the pastel colors in Lichens On Bark CD2011.5.
Thank you, Linda. I do love looking at lichens and the wonderful patterns and textures they create, but I do find it so difficult to identify them. Fortunately, knowing their scientific names is not essential to appreciating their forms.
Thank you, Judith. When the trees are bare and vegetation generally sparse during the winter months, lichens seem to be everywhere because the attention is not distracted by larger more seasonal nature.
