Entropy Series 2 These pictures show crackled paintwork on the metal of some old agricultural equipment. The pounding of the wind and rain, and the expansion and contraction of the metal with temperature, have contributed to its weathering deterioration and resultant craquelure pattern and texture.
I like the faded pink of it. Wonder if it was originally red?

The Entropy Strikes Back.
Beautiful photographs. Images of Man’s struggle (brave and cunning but futile obviously) to sustain his creations.

I am not sure about that. Maybe it was maroon or liver-coloured. π

I wondered because I’ve seen old tractors in faded pink (and they were originally red). Green ones tended to turn pale green blue, it seems. At least in my memory!

Yes, it could have been red, Claudia. I have pictures of that faded and peeling too. I was wondering though if this was like the colour that was very popular on trains and carriages at one time, which was a muddier browner red.
