A continuation of the sedimentary rock textures and patterns from my walk along the shore of the Dornoch Firth from Portmahomack eastwards towards Tarbat Ness. The strata date from the Upper Old Red Sandstone of the Devonian Period and comprise the Balnagown Group lying above the Strath Rory Group.
