Pictures 25 – 28 from an idyllic spot on a perfect sunny summer’s day – a walk around Pallington Lakes by the River Frome near Tincleton in Dorset, where Simon Gudgeon displays beautiful bronze sculptures at Sculpture by the Lakes. Ox-eye daisies and pink flowers cloaked the banks of the River Frome with its fast-flowing and sparkling water running past the bronze sculpture “Embrace” in its sunlit glade.
I love ox-eyed daisies. I love painting them too, although I have not painted any in some time.

These flowers seem to be everywhere right now, on the river banks, the side of the road, and around our local cricket pitch.
