Pallington Lakes 4

Pictures 13 – 16 from an idyllic spot on a perfect sunny summer’s day – a walk around Pallington Lakes by the River Frome near Tincleton in Dorset, where Simon Gudgeon displays beautiful bronze sculptures at Sculpture by the Lakes.

Mayflies were swarming over the water and settling everywhere, including this work entitled “Whispering Spirit” by the lakeside. The slightest breeze puckered the water surface into regular patterns and the rushes on the distant shore made zigzag designs.
