In this picture and other “mandalas” I started with photographs of actual sand ripples on the beach, and applied an effect from Corel photo editing software that transformed the image into kaleidoscopic patterns. It is just a bit of fun – like the other transmogrified foliage and rock pictures that I have been posting this month while I am out and about accumulating a new set of natural history photographs for “proper” posts in July.
