Polurrian Rocks 9 – Red layers in wet Devonian Period metasedimentary slate from the north side of the Lizard Boundary Fault at Polurrian Cove in Cornwall.

  1. You are right. The description together with each image in this series is like a piece of a jigsaw which I hope eventually to put in into context to give the full picture about the complex and interesting geology in this location.

  2. Thank you, Evelyn. I loved the striking contrast in these colours. Sometimes I find it difficult to capture the exact hues in the rocks. The subtleties are can be elusive.
