  1. Thank you, Jo. The main fixed header is an assortment of live Northwest Pacific sea anemones and starfish (called sea stars in the U.S.) photographed in a “touch-pool” in marine aquarium in Oregon – I posted more pictures from the aquarium elsewhere, and I also posted shots taken in the wild on the seashore.

    All the other header shots appear randomly with articles when viewed as an individual post and so I would need more details in order to explain.

  2. I’m not sure it was any of those (although they are lovely too!) This was a beautiful flower-like image, close-up, with curving ‘petals’ in mauve and purple, and thinner strands of black. Almost abstract in effect!
