It doesn’t seem to matter where you are but someone will want to deface any vertical surface with an engraving to commemorate their visit. The beautiful coloured sandstones at Studland Bay are another example of graffiti gone mad – however, the surface there is continually weathering and providing a smooth new surface to work on.
