  1. I have eaten cockles a few times and seem to recall that they were very tasty. Despite my lifelong passion for seashells, I have never been passionate about eating seafood. I think that is just because of my upbringing. My Mother didn’t like seafood because, as the daughter of a poor fisherman, she had had to eat but herring almost every day as a child.
