From shallower to deeper water. Through transparancy to opacity. From small ripples to larger waves. Increasing from lighter to darker colours. Starting as highly reflective wavelets developing into glinting undulations. As you walk along the pier, the hues and textures of the sea below change with depth and the action of the tides.

Thank you, Linda. You’ll see that I have emphasised the differences in the images by digital manipulation in today’s post. It’s not that the images are ‘better’ than the originals but the features are drawn out by the same effect applied to all the pictures.
