Just a snapshot of  row of blue-painted wooden beach huts on the pebbles at Charmouth on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset UK.

  1. Actually, no. They were brand new. We still build them like that in some places in Britain. Other places they are much more modern in design and really made to withstand the elements – but not so charming. These blue ones actually looked very odd in the location where they had been constructed because it was not a commercialised beach and they were standing all by themselves – looking a bit self-conscious.
