Just a few of the thousands of pieces of coloured knotted rope that had been washed up onto the strandline at the highest point of the shingle bank at Chesil Cove between Chiswell and Ferrybridge Visitor Centre – how high is that? 60 feet? Some great tides and storm surges! All gone now – thanks to the Great Dorset Beach Clean in April – but they’ll be back.
