Hi, Magne. Actually it is derived from a nature photograph. This is just a bit of fun. I took a picture of sand ripples from the beach and used one of those instant click transformations to turn it kaleidoscopic. The original unaltered image has been posted in response to one of the earlier comments. I was posting these pictures as a stop-gap while I am working on a large project concerning archaeological oyster shells – it is taking all my time right now. Hopefully I will soon be back to “real” nature pictures and commentary soon!
