Charlton Down Nature Area

Some of the followers of Jessica’s Nature Blog already know that I live in a small Dorset village in the South of England. In 2008 the Parish Council established a small Nature Area and Community Orchard here for everyone to enjoy. It lies on the edge of the village, a short walk away from where I live.

In recent years, and particularly since the pandemic lockdown, I have spent more and more time there. Now I have decided to create a blog just for the Charlton Down Nature Area to tell its story as we try to improve its biodiversity. We are trying to make this small area the best possible place for wildlife while at the same time encouraging visitors to appreciate and learn about Nature.

Jessica’s Nature Blog will continue – but if you would like to pop over and also see my new blog just click HERE.
