  1. I find it so amazing which multitude of plants grow on our roadside verges—and that most of them manage to survive even the driest summer.

  2. I think that Native plants probably have the deepest or most extensive root systems which help them withstand drought, and also to take advantage of a water surplus, helping prevent local flooding in heavy rains.
