The gleaming golden gorse flowers at Rhossili look splendid in the spring and provide a suitable frame for a view of the Worms Head.

I love the nutty smell of gorse – it’s only starte giving off its distinctive perfume in this past week.

I had no idea that gorse was scented, Emma! Unfortunately, I do not have a very good sense of smell – probably due to inhaling too much paradichlorbenzine when I was working in a museum, and later, years of working with formaldehyde in the lab.
