None of these things, I regret, but rather a catalogue for various purposes related to my own studies and interests and also a resource for amateur and professional geologists, along with artists and crafts persons who like the natural textures, colours and patterns in the rocks. I apologise to regular visitors who may be disappointed with the content for the time being. The majority of my site users arrive via the search engines, seeking particular kinds of information or images, or contact me directly with questions of all kinds, which makes life interesting as well as letting me know what contributions are useful even when they do not receive a lot of on-line ticks of approval.
