  1. Yes, it is one of those boulders of mudstone that fall from the cliffs all along the shores of this part of the Jurassic Coast. They have a characteristic way of fracturing that I have often photographed, at Seatown for example. This particular boulder was smoothed by wave washing and looked interesting in its pool of still cloudy water.
