The Lone Shieling 9

The Lone Shieling 9 – The Lone Shieling is a replica of a shepherd’s hut in the style used in the Scottish Isle of Skye by the immigrants who settled at nearby Pleasant Bay. The stones used in the walls of the hut and the boundary walls include some of the oldest in existence from the Blair River Inlier dating from a billion years ago. The hut and its surrounding 4000 acres of protected forest are situated along the Cabot Trail in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Nova Scotia, Canada.
