Doolin Rocks 13 – Limpets congregating in a shallow solution pan pool (kamenitza) in limestone on the shore at Doolin, County Clare, Ireland, on the edge of the Burren famous for its karst scenery. The limpets add to the weathering and erosional effect of acid rain by gradually scraping away more of the rock surface as they feed on microscopic algae and lichen colonising the rock surface.
