Natural patterns caused by moth caterpillar infestation in leaves

Autumn Chestnut Leaf Miner 1 – Natural patterns in autumn coloured leaves of the Horse Chestnut tree (Aesculus hippocastanum) caused by an infestation of caterpillars of the moth Cameraria ohridella which create tunnels within the leaves as they feed causing narrow bands of the leaf tissue to die.
