I wonder what puts them into these circle shapes. Is that a result of currents or waves or do they have some kind of springiness?

Hi, Nannus. The fronds of seaweed are about a metre long and flexible, and as they float in the water the waves wash in and out, pushing and pulling the strands into these wonderful designs.
