I found this crab at very low tide on Rhossili beach on the Gower Peninsula in South Wales. It was one of about a dozen that I saw. One pair of them were in a tussle over shell ownership. Deep in a pool, one Hermit Crab was trying to pull another from its shell because it wanted vacant possession.
