Just a few pictures from my visit to Ventry Beach on the Dingle Peninsula on the west Coast of Ireland yesterday selected from the 480 photographs I took! The weather was amazing for September and I was able to spend five hours on the sand enjoying the sights and sounds as well as the atmosphere of this old pilgrims’ path.

  1. Thank you, gbebs. The Dingle Peninsula is a truly beautiful place. I am posting some more sand patterns of a different kind today. I photographed them at Inch Strand which is also on the Dingle.

  2. Great pictures! I found a jellyfish just like your one in Islay last week.

Your poor camera must be feeling in need of a rest now!

  3. Thanks, Nic. Lucky you, going to Islay. I’ve not been to any of the Scottish Islands yet but am hoping to do so in the not too distant future. There seem to have been a lot of jellyfish this year but I had not seen any as small as the ones from Ventry Bay before – maybe about 2 or 3 centimetres diameter.
Thanks also for your solicitations for my camera – I’m afraid it has seen better days and is now reserved for working on beaches with a back-up camera in my bag. It’s done good service though.
