Black-capped Squirrel Monkeys at London Zoo have an enclosure that visitors can enter to see them at close quarters. These delightful little creatures scamper through the bushes by your feet, attend feeding stations near the path, and climb among the trees where you can follow their movements with binoculars from a hide.
They are found in the wild in Bolivia, Brazil, and Peru where they live in tropical lowland forest – feeding on insects, fruits and seeds. At the zoo, they are part of the European Endangered Species Breeding Programme.
