Sweet smelling honeysuckle in the hedgerows is a common sight at this time of year in the countryside around Charlton Down. Unfortunately, at the moment, because of difficult personal circumstances, I am not able to walk out far enough from home to see them for myself again. So I hope you will forgive me for posting some photographs that I took in this same week several years ago.
Of course we forgive you. May your circumstances improve rapidly, Jessica.

Thank you for expressing good wishes, Emma. My dear sister has been very ill and I have been sitting at her bedside. Moira passed away peacefully yesterday afternoon.

Jessica. Difficult times don’t seem to stop throwing more and more at us, do they. Thinking of you at this extra specially difficult moment. With very best wishes.
