  1. Thank you, Jan. I was wanting to focus on the pattern and structure of the seaweed rather than its identity as such. Transforming from the mainly green hues to blue, by converting to a negative version of the image, helped that process of allowing the viewer to appreciate the form in the abstract. The intertwining filaments of the seaweed were translucent gelatinous threads like a fine version of Japanese glass noodles.
