Partridge Island 17 – View of Partridge Island from the salt marsh lying between the island and the mainland to the north, Nova Scotia, Canada. This area was known as Wasoqum by the Mi’kmaq people, meaning heaven or “the place where the spirits of the people and the animals live in harmony”.
